Thank you for your enquiry concerning bequests to the Association. Please print the following clause and hand this to the solicitor or other person preparing your Will, informing them of the amount that you wish to leave:-
"I GIVE the sum of (words and figures) free of all duties and charges to the Australian Crohns and Colitis Association (Queensland) Inc. for its general purposes absolutely. I DIRECT that the receipt of the Treasurer or other appropriate officer of the Association shall constitute a sufficient discharge to my estate. My personal representative shall not be obliged to see to the due application of the gift. If at the date of my death the Association shall have ceased I direct my trustees to make this gift to that Queensland association (incorporated or unincorporated) which in the sole opinion of my trustees best approximates the objects of the association if one then exists, but if none then to any research foundation or hospital as my trustees shall select that at the time of my death is conducting research into the causes or management of the diseases known as Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis."
