Meetings, Fundraisers, and Support Groups
Educational meetings with guest speakers are arranged approximately 4-5 times per year. The majority of these are in Brisbane with occasional meetings arranged in neighbouring areas such as the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba. When convenient, meetings are organised for other regions such as North Queensland.
These meetings are of an educational nature and admission is generally free or by way of a donation to the association. Guest speakers include gastroenterologists, colo-rectal surgeons, dietitians, psychiatrists, radiologists and patients.

Group meetings: These social gatherings are held quarterly and offer the opportunity to enjoy the company and support of other people who have inflammatory bowel disease. Spouses, partners, parents, family or friends are also most welcome to attend.
Social/Informal meetings for young people 18-30: While these meetings are organised specifically to cater for 18 - 30 year olds, anyone just a tad under or over that age group need not feel deterred from attending. Friends and partners are welcome.
