Searches will find similar words, but search terms are not case-sensitive.

Phrases & Quotes

Use quotation marks when you're searching for a phrase, or words that should be next to each other. For example:

"ulcerative colitis" will return only those pages that include the exact term ulcerative colitis.

ulcerative colitis will return pages in which either ulcerative or colitis are mentioned: in any order, in any part of the page.

Try narrowing the search by a specific field, for example, to find your search term in a hyperlink (url) or in the title of the page. Supported fields are:

Title (eg. title:colitis)
Keywords (eg. keys:colitis)
Description: (eg. desc:"ulcerative colitis")
Contents (eg. body:"ulcerative colitis")
Link (eg. url:colitis)

Use the plus ( + ) sign to indicate those words that must be included in the page, and the ( - ) sign to designate those that must be excluded from the page. For example:

ulcerative +colitis will return pages that include colitis, but not necessarily ulcerative.

+ulcerative +colitis will return only pages that include both ulcerative and colitis.

+colitis -ulcerative returns only those pages that include colitis, but that do not include ulcerative.
